Read through the process and costs associated with the Signature Sprint: 30-Day Legacy Build. No hidden fees, only transparency about where your money is going and the return on investment.
At Otter Website Design, we don’t believe in ‘digital hostages.’ Many agencies lure restaurants in with low upfront costs only to trap them in restrictive, permanent monthly subscriptions. We do things differently. Our mission is to serve your restaurant. Once your project is complete, you own every asset—from the high-resolution photography to the website code itself. We build your digital front door so that you hold the keys.
Beautiful and user-friendly website design that engages customers
Custom content development, capturing your brand story
High-quality images that tell your story across any platform
Dynamic footage that demonstrates quality and hospitality
A website is the “front door,” but Google is the “sidewalk”
Integrated CRM automation and branded template generation
Branded template generation, helpful tips, and posting guidelines
Don’t stress over a 1-star review. Open the guide, copy the pre-written response, and get back to your kitchen
This ROI is driven by three specific revenue shifts:
Because you own every asset outright, these gains aren’t a one-time spike—they are a permanent increase to your bottom line without the weight of ongoing monthly “tech fees”.
To further illustrate the impact of your new digital toolkit, consider the potential of a single “Slow-Day Promo” strategy powered by your included Email Marketing Setup:
Imagine your restaurant typically sees a $1,500 revenue dip on Tuesdays compared to your weekend average. By utilizing the custom email templates and guest database we build for you, you can send a targeted “Neighborhood Tuesday” promotion to 500 local regulars.
Conversion Power: With a conservative 4% conversion rate, this single email brings in 20 additional covers.
Revenue Impact: At a $50 average check, that is $1,000 in recovered revenue in a single evening.
The 3-Month ROI: Over 12 weeks, repeating this simple automated process generates $12,000 in additional top-line sales—effectively doubling your initial $6,000 investment from just one marketing tactic alone.
This demonstrates how shifting from a passive website to an active growth engine turns “slow nights” into profitable shifts, ensuring your investment pays for itself well within the first quarter.

Expand the following to understand what our workflow will look like from start to finish.
Upon contacting Otter Website Design for The Signature Sprint, a contract will be sent via Adobe Sign. Once you have read through the contract and signed it, you will be directed to a questionnaire on this website. The questionnaire will go over details about your goals and vision for the project. In the questionnaire, you will be able to make a note whether you prefer to pay via check or ACH.*
At the end of the questionnaire, you will be able to book your starting date. Please note that there will only be two openings per month.
After the questionnaire is submitted, the Otter Website Design team will provide a prep list regarding the start date. This will include questions for a video interview and ways to prepare for the photoshoot. Otter Website Design will provide a checklist of required brand files and likely accounts needed for integrations—be prepared to share those credentials.
An invoice for a 50% deposit will be sent via Wave upon the project start date.
*If paying by check, the first check will be due at the start of the in-person start date. The second and final payment is due before site launch.
The official start date will be inaugurated with the in-person visit during your restaurant’s off (or slowest) hours. During this 4 to 5-hour meeting, much of the raw content used throughout the project will be developed.
Upon arrival, we will capture photographs of the tidy restaurant inside and outside, along with a few detail shots. Within the first hour of arrival (while everyone is still mentally “fresh”), we will photograph key staff, then conduct a brief video interview with the owner or lead manager about the restaurant. Then we will shift to capturing video of food being prepped to be used as b-roll. This consists of brief clips that get compiled together.
Photos of your main menu items will be photographed. In your prep guide, we will note that the food photographed will need to come out in a staggered fashion to maintain freshness. When possible, it is best to photograph close to a window for natural light. Studio lights will be on location to be used as needed. Menu dependent, we will want to capture a few shots of the food with beverages for content variety. After food, we focus on craft beverages. Last, desserts.
Before departure, Otter Website Design will select a second time to arrive at the restaurant to capture a few candid photographs of a typical service window. For both visits, managers or staff don’t need to accompany the Otter team the whole time, but you are more than welcome to—we want you to feel free to get your work done too.
Within week one, all photography and videography will be edited and uploaded in a usable format to an online gallery for your future use. This content will be used throughout every deliverable in the Signature Sprint: 30-Day Legacy Build: website, email templates, social media templates, and Google Business Profile.
An audit of the current website and marketing systems will be conducted to develop your custom roadmap for the remainder of the project. The audit, combined with the previously completed questionnaires, will serve as a checklist for project goals.
Otter Website Design sets up your 30-Day website build in a way to ensure you own this asset after launch. It will be set up with your own affordable website host, your own domain, and done in a way where most maintenance takes care of itself. Each website will be built using WordPress and popular layout builders that can be updated as needed by a lightly-trained staff member.
Your website will likely have somewhere between 3 to 5 pages, highlighting one primary call-to-action (CTA) and one secondary call-to-action, like “view menu,” “make a reservation,” “order now,” etc. This primary CTA will be accessible to the user at first glance of the website, and throughout. Every page is crafted with SEO best practices to naturally boost your search visibility and help local guests find you more easily.
Written content will be developed from the questionnaires answered, information gathered from the in-person project start, and curated with a custom brand voice.
This part of the process is also known as email capture and lead generation. Emails (and text messages) are a high-value tool that gets its viewers’ undivided attention. Social media plays a part, but ultimately, with social media, you are at the whim of ever-changing algorithms in a space where you may or may not be seen. If someone gives you their email, they have expressed a way to communicate with them directly. If a social media platform shuts down, you lose your line of connection. But with email and text, you always have that direct contact.
Some POS systems have a CRM. Whether integrated with your POS or with an email platform, Otter Website Design will connect your CRM to the website with a user-friendly subscribe field. Then we will create up to 3 email templates that will serve your needs and support your brand. A few templates may include a new menu release, special events, or a “slow-day” deal that acts as a sales driver long after the end of the Signature Sprint: 30-Day Legacy Build.
A website is the “front door,” but Google is the “sidewalk.” For many customers, it is the very first interaction they have with your brand. To improve its effectiveness, you must move beyond basic contact info by syncing it with your website to ensure “NAP” (Name, Address, Phone) consistency, which is a critical factor for ranking in the local “Map Pack”. Upgrading the profile with professional food photography can significantly boost engagement, as businesses with high-quality imagery see a 94% higher conversion rate compared to those using amateur, user-generated content. By actively managing this profile and integrating it with a seamless “Order Now” or “Reserve” button, you eliminate friction and capture the 85–93% of diners who research a restaurant online before ever stepping foot through your physical door.
As we near the completion of your Signature Sprint: 30-Day Build, we dedicate time to training your key staff on the essential, day-to-day operations of your new platform. We focus only on high-impact, “minimal” tasks—such as updating a daily special, adjusting holiday hours, or swapping out a seasonal menu item—ensuring your team isn’t overwhelmed by technical jargon.
To provide permanent peace of mind, your team will receive a custom, easy-to-follow PDF Support Guide. This document serves as your restaurant’s digital operations manual, offering step-by-step instructions and visual walkthroughs for every system we’ve built. Alongside this, we provide a specialized Reputation Management Guide, giving your team a clear framework for handling guest feedback and maintaining a 5-star digital presence. By the time we launch, your staff won’t just have a new website; they will have the mastery to keep your “digital front door” polished, inviting, and highly rated without ever needing to call a developer for basic updates.
The final day of the Signature Sprint: 30-Day Build isn’t just a deadline; it’s the moment your restaurant gains complete digital independence. We don’t just “go live” and disappear; we facilitate a structured handover designed to transition you from a project partner to a confident owner. By the time we hit the launch button, your kitchen is synced, your SEO is indexed, and your team is trained.
This is the moment the “Digital Hostage” cycle ends. You’ll walk away with a high-performance platform that you own entirely—no hidden backdoors, no “maintenance” ransom, and no technical debt. Investing in the Signature Sprint means you’ve traded a recurring expense for a permanent business asset. We hand you the keys, the training, and the support guides, leaving you with the ultimate peace of mind: a digital front door that works just as hard as your staff does.
To provide permanent peace of mind, your team will also receive a custom, easy-to-follow PDF Support Guide. This document serves as your restaurant’s digital operations manual, offering step-by-step instructions and visual walkthroughs for every system we’ve built. By the time we launch, your staff won’t just have a new website; they will have the mastery to keep your “digital front door” polished and inviting without ever needing to call a developer for basic updates.
On Day 31, you are 100% independent. You own the code, the photos, and the domain. We hand you the keys to your legacy.
Our commitment to your restaurant doesn’t end when the site goes live. The weeks following your Signature Sprint: 30-Day Build are about momentum. We check in to ensure your team is navigating the new platform with ease and that the “digital front door” we built is performing exactly as intended. We take pride in seeing our partners transition to full ownership, but we also realize that as your business evolves, your needs might too.
Consider us your “on-call” creative partners for the long haul. Whether you’re ready to schedule a quarterly photo shoot for a new seasonal menu, need assistance with a targeted email campaign to your regulars, or want to explore a full brand refresh for a new concept, we are here to support your growth. You have the keys and the foundation—whenever you’re ready to add the next level, Otter is just a phone call away.
The 30-Day Legacy Build is a step-by-step model that shows how Otter Website Design will transform your restaurant’s online presence. In just a month, we focus on improving your website design and integrating essential tools for better customer engagement with custom content. At the end of the process, you own the site, you own the assets, and you keep the profit.
Our goal is to keep this process streamlined so your focus remains on running your restaurant with as little interruption as possible. What we need from you:
By completing those steps, we can take it from there. From professional brand storytelling to high-end photography, we provide all the content necessary to represent your restaurant at a high-performance level.
Because we believe you should “hold the keys” to your business, we build your site on a user-friendly platform that makes small updates—like price adjustments or seasonal menu swaps—as simple as editing a Word document. As part of our handover, we provide a custom guide for your staff so you never have to wait (or pay) for a developer to make basic changes.
Unlike “digital hostage” agencies that charge hundreds in monthly “maintenance” fees, Otter Website Design has no ongoing service charges. You will only be responsible for your standard third-party hosting and domain costs (typically around $20–$30/month), paid directly to the provider. You own the site, you own the assets, and you keep the profit.
We view this 30-day transformation as a collaborative partnership. While our framework is built on proven high-conversion strategies, we want the site to feel uniquely yours. During our initial discovery phase, we’ll discuss any specific features or stylistic preferences you have to ensure the final result aligns perfectly with your vision for the restaurant. Should you require custom functionalities or specialized third-party plugins beyond our core package, we are happy to manage the installation and integration for you; please note that while our labor is included, any external licensing or subscription costs from those third-party providers would be your direct responsibility.
Whether you are starting from scratch or have old, low-resolution files that are no longer usable, our team is equipped to assist. As part of our storytelling process, we can help refine your color palette, select modern typography, and clean up existing logos to ensure your brand looks sharp and consistent across all platforms.
Check out our “New Concept” Brand Identity package if you want to start with a fresh new look.
Because we believe a restaurant should own its infrastructure, not rent it. We’d rather do high-performance work for you once and have you call us back for a photo shoot because you want to, not because you have to.
